from Slovenia, Croatia and South-East European countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia).

Connecting local raw materials communities with their international EIT RawMaterials counterparts.

EIT RawMaterials Hub Regional Center Adria (RC Adria) was founded and started its work in spring 2018. Its founders are Geological Survey of Slovenia, Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute and Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Zagreb. It represents a hub for stakeholders in the field of mineral resources, focusing primarily on Slovenia and Croatia and covering South-East European countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia Serbia). The presence of the EIT RawMaterials in South-East Europe is essential due to the richness of primary and secondary raw materials in the region and is well in line with EU communication on the enlargement perspective and the EU's increased engagement in the region.

RC Adria is acting as an interface between the local ecosystem (knowledge triangle of universities, institutes and industry and public authorities) and the EIT RawMaterials, providing access to information on EIT RawMaterials projects and activities. One of the main objectives of the RC Adria is to promote networking, exchange of project ideas and support for potential new partners in the EIT RawMaterials community. It represents informational »one-stop-shop« for knowledge transfer of EIT RawMaterials. At the same time it connects local raw materials communities with their international EIT RawMaterials counterparts.

RC Adria provides a link between regional stakeholders and the knowledge innovation community on raw materials and acts as a KIC liaison point in the region, encouraging stakeholders to participate in activities and become part of this world's largest community for raw materials.
